Hi Shell! Thanks for stopping by my blog!! You were asking about the whispers brushmarkers. I think there may be a tutorial video on the DoCrafts website. I also hunted on You Tube for various tutorials on watercolouring as I didn't know where to start - some of them are quite good if you look around. I find my watercolouring a bit hit and miss, but the way I have found best is to use a wet paintbrush (or one of the paintbrushes that you fill with water), brush the paintbrush over the nib of the brushmarker and then on to the paper. This gives quite a nice watercolour effect and can be repeated to build up the colour. I hope this is some help!!! Claire xx

ReplyDeleteHi Shell,
ReplyDeleteI saw your question over on Claire's blog, and thought I might be able to help you out.
There is a video on the use of the whispers brush markers on www.docrafts.co.uk. If you click on the drop down inspiration tab there is a video choice. Scroll down quite a way and you will see the video for the whispers markers. There is also going to be a new video out soon (we have just filmed it but the video will be available some time in July).
You can apply directly to stamps and huff on the image to remoisten the ink before stamping, and use as a watercolour by applying some of the pen to a non porous surface and taking the colour with a wet paint brush. I wouldn't recommend taking the colour straight from the pen with the paint brush, as the water on the paint brush can dilute the pigment in the pen. Hope this helps, If you need any more info, just use the contact me button on my blog.
Love, Clare x
Fabulous card Shell, well done. Sorry I've not commented before but I've had dreadful blogger issues the past week as have many, and I just couldn't get your comments page to open. Thankfully at long last it has.
